Atomist was built in the cloud era for the cloud native world. Furthering our commitment to customer choice of cloud native technologies, Atomist recently became a member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), the open source software foundation dedicated to making cloud native computing universal and sustainable.

Cloud, container and microservice technology platforms bring a new level of diversity and complexity making it increasingly important to work with partners like the CNCF to help ensure that developers and software teams can achieve their software delivery goals.

We are focused squarely on making developers’ lives better, and we see both the power and challenges created by cloud native architectures. With many many more, smaller pieces of software to manage, the status quo approach of declarative CI tasks and pipelines became unmanageable. We went back to first principles and realized that an event-driven approach developed in codebetter addresses the challenges of delivering cloud native applications. Our Software Delivery Machine concept is the materialization of that vision.

Teams are increasingly rolling out cloud native applications, and the need for delivery capabilities for cloud native applications is acute. We are thrilled to join other like-minded open source and cloud native projects and companies in the CNCF.

Our next CNCF-hosted event is KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America in December in Seattle, Washington where we’ll be exhibiting and on hand to talk about the future of software delivery. If you’re planning to be there, you can sign up for our mailing list to get updates and info in advance.
